WINDOW WELL

What it is?

If the window of your basement is below the ground level, it is necessary to have a window well in place. This is a sheet of metal that lines the hole that surrounds the window. This prevents the dirt from collapsing and breaking your window or letting water in.

Along with the window well, a drainage system is necessary to drain the water that builds up against the foundation, before it reaches the window level. This is to prevent floodings in your basement.

The procesS

At MRH waterproofing we do window well installations and window weeping tile drainage systems. We usually do this alongside out exterior and interior waterproofing, but we also offer this as an individual service.

If you have existing window wells and drainage, but you are noticing leaking around that area, it is most likely that you either have a window crack, your window well is damaged, or the drainage is clogged. Call us immediately if this is the case, as this can cause an increasingly bigger flooding over time.

We offer window well & drainage maintenance and repairs if needed. We also offer custom made window wells made of wood or concrete for larger windows and basement fire escapes.
